I feel the same way about meat. While I don't feel it's *wrong*, I believe we have a duty to respect the animal and eat it ethically, as well as minimally for optimum health. Great review, I'll have to pick this up when I get time.

Is the book club even still going? I was hoping for a more comprehensive book club with more discussion... Maybe we should move it to GoodReads or something where we can facilitate that better, as well as document the books more. Thoughts? You can't have a picture of romance on the front, romance in the title and in the catchphrase but no romance in the book. I thought that was somewhat lame. I kept expecting more but never got it.

You would think that would have been something a family friend or editor would have read and been like, 'yeah let's change the image on the front and the title, because it's a little misleading.' I probably would have really liked the book if I weren't constantly expecting more from it, because I just kept waiting for that romance that never came.Amiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14566936819579948672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6957407587631366702.post-55365937718898357752010-07-26T13:09:25.193-07:002010-07-26T13:09:25.193-07:00I haven't read this book but always thought it...I haven't read this book but always thought it was a love story too. I totally get what you're saying about the issues with eating at other people's houses. Well I'm a vegetarian but I'm thinking about the kids we'll have in the future and how I would want them to only eat some meat but not all meat and what sorts of problems they'll have. Anyway, I've yet to try massaging kale! The salad looks delicious. I love that there's miso in the dressing.eatme_delicioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14657772782487330009noreply@blogger.com
